"Coach Carbs" is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with an extensive coaching background. She is able to coach the “aging” athlete, elite-level, or even youth athletes. She is thoughtful to how they are different from one another; this is not your cookie-cutter coaching program. She uses a careful eye with clients to make sure they work smarter versus harder to avoid injury. Looking to improve your performance, learn about your sport, and feel good while having fun? Coach Carbs is for you!
Katie Carbiener is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and has practiced in orthopedics and sports since graduation. Prior to PT, she played DI lacrosse at Longwood University where she completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with a focus on strength and conditioning.
She has competed in team sports, triathlon and running at competitive levels. She qualified for the Triathlon Team USA for Worlds in 2014, ran the Boston Marathon in 2019 and continues to work towards a sub-3 marathon. Recreationally, she also participates in cycling, climbing and mountaineering in Colorado.
Katie’s primary goal is for her athletes to have fun running AND feel good doing it! Having learned from many of her own mistakes, she has many different coaching methods and is able to easily adapt and help catch injuries before they progress.
She is also trained in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and is able to work with pre and post natal athletes and accommodate based on their different needs.
