USA Triathlon Certified Coach with 15+ years of racing & coaching experience. I’ve competed in 100+ endurance events, including the Half Ironman World Championship, Middle East 70.3 Championship, duathlons, & MTB races. Coaching since 2009, I help athletes of all levels reach goals from first 5K to Ironman to first responder & military tactical fitness tests. I’ve directed triathlons & 5Ks, lead community rides, & bring a fundamentals-based approach blending data, strength, & resilience.
I was born into a competitive running family; my father was a collegiate hurdler & high school cross-country coach, & both my parents & sister ran marathons. My own endurance journey began at Texas Tech University, where I earned my B.S. in Exercise & Sports Sciences & raced at the Collegiate National Championship that we hosted. Since then I’ve competed in over 100 events including the Half Ironman World Championship, Middle East 70.3 Championship, XTERRA, duathlons, mountain bike races, & more than 65 run races.
I’ve coached since 2009 helping athletes from beginners to Boston-qualifiers, Ironman finishers, & tactical professionals preparing for military & law enforcement fitness tests. During my Navy service, I trained & ran with David Goggins, served as a Command Fitness Leader, & instructed Second-Class Swimmer qualifications. I also worked as a personal trainer & physical therapy tech, building a strong background in biomechanics, injury prevention, & performance.
Beyond coaching, I've co-created a sanctioned sprint triathlon, organized 5Ks including a local Turkey Trot, & created an indoor Ironman challenge with educational seminars. I currently serve as President of the Leyden Rock Bike Club & organize monthly group rides for local athletes on & off road.
I combine structured training with strength, mobility, & recovery work using GPS, heart rate, & power data to guide athletes. My mission is to build resilience, consistency, & long-term enjoyment in sport.
