We are a team that uses a science based approach to training. We rely heavily on data provided by the athlete and use the metrics provided by the Training Peaks software to constantly measure and monitor. With our team, there are no cookie cutter plans. Every athlete's training plan is specific to them and each week's workouts will be based off of previous results in similar workouts. We offer unlimited communication between coach and athlete and truly listen to what our athletes are feeling.
I have been coaching athletes for for 21 years. I am an Ironman U certified coach. Our approach very athlete centric. We want the athlete to be involved with the process and have a sense of ownership with their training. We are very in favor of our athletes knowing and understanding their numbers in regards to training. We want to show them where their fitness is progressing and where we may need to work just a bit harder. We use assessments in all 3 disciplines to determine your specific paces and zones. We use pace for the swim and the run and power/heart rate for the bike. We love the data and all of the metric available to us on Training Peaks, but at the end of the day our favorite question to ask an athlete in regards to training is "how are you feeling" We know that there are many life stressors that will not in most cases show up in the data, so we believe that it is extremely important for the coach and the athlete to have an open communication.
