First and foremost, we are triathlon coaches.
Brandon has been a ‘student of the sport’ since 1989. He has immersed himself in the sport from day 1 whether it has been through literature or on deck in front of swimmers and triathletes. He is an an engineer by trade. This combination provides athletes the best of both worlds when it comes to approaching their triathlon training. He is comfortable working with athletes who must have the ‘toys’ as well as those who prefer to keep it simple.
His wife Amy also coaches. Her years of swimming at the highest levels as well as being on deck provide her with a wide range of practical knowledge that also benefits their athletes.
They are active in the Austin community and have raced around the world. They are both retired from competition and are focusing on helping athletes reach their athletic goals and becoming their "better selves".
Amy was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in late 2014. She is a survivor and continues to be inspired to coach children and adults to reach their potential. She also continues to exercise and rebuild from multiple rounds of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant.
Their education and racing experience provides an approach that has helped first time triathletes, Kona Qualifiers, and professionals work towards their goals in a positive and realistic manner.
