Online triathlon and marathon coach, Auckland, New Zealand. 10 years racing professionally, now coaching busy people who train around a job, a family and a body that doesn't recover like it used to. Long course is my home: 70.3, Ironman, Ironman NZ, Taupo, marathon. If you've been in the sport a few years and you've stalled, I'm the coach who goes into your data and acts on it. Individual plans, weekly adjustments, real conversations. Not a PDF with your name on it.
I raced professionally for 10 years. Now I coach, work a second job and raise a family, so I know exactly what training for long course looks like when life gets a vote.
Here's what I believe. Most people improve from baseline doing almost anything. It's after a few years, when you plateau, that coaching earns its money. That's the athlete I'm best at helping: the age-grouper who's put in the hours and can't work out why the times stopped moving.
How I work. Every week starts with what you actually did last week: completed sessions, RPE, heart rate against power, what you wrote in the comments. Then I check where you sit in the bigger plan and what your next race demands. Your week gets built from those two things, not from a template.
Sessions are written so you can read the title and know what you're doing. Plans respect your real hours and your real recovery. Hard days don't land on the day you fly for work.
Who I coach. First-timers building to a 70.3. Competitive age-groupers chasing Kona and World Championship slots. Marathoners. Athletes rebuilding after a big Ironman. All online, all in TrainingPeaks, from Auckland with athletes across New Zealand.
What you get. An individual plan, adjusted every week. Comments on your sessions. Straight answers when something isn't working. And a coach who's stood on the same start lines, and juggles the same calendar you do.
If you're plateaued and want someone in your corner who'll actually look at the data, get in touch.
