Coach Bio

Clive Boulton is an endurance coach with more than 20 years of experience working with runners and triathletes across a wide performance spectrum.
A former elite middle-distance athlete, Clive ran 3:46 for 1500m, 1:50 for 800m and 14:10 for 5km, winning a national 1500m title, UK Universities medals and multiple county cross-country championships. More recently he competed internationally in long-distance triathlon, recording a top-10 finish at the European Long-Distance Triathlon Championships.

Today his coaching is built around the same principles that shaped his own athletic development: sound training methodology, long-term progression, and disciplined decision-making.
Clive works with athletes ranging from ambitious club runners to experienced competitors pursuing personal bests, championship qualification and podium performances. His programmes combine proven physiological principles with the realities of modern life, helping athletes balance ambition with work, travel and family commitments.
Alongside sport, Clive spent many years in senior leadership positions within global organisations. That experience informs a coaching philosophy centred not simply on training harder, but on making better decisions over time.
The goal is not heroic weeks. The goal is repeatable progress.
