I have been personal training, swim coaching and triathlon coaching for over 2 years now in Chicago. I have completed dozens of triathlons, including two 70.3 distances, and my first full IRONMAN in 2015 in Madison, WI. I've a sincere passion for coaching, for strength training, and for endurance sports. So much so, I have dedicated my career to passing that passion on to others and helping athletes achieve their goals, whatever they may be.
One example of my ideal client would be working with Jamie. Jamie is in his/her late 30's, early 40's and is ready to take the next step in their triathlon career, moving from the Olympic distance to the Half Ironman distance. Jamie has completed several Sprint and Olympic distance events and loves the sport. They've never in the lead, but they are also not in the back - they're more of a "middle-of-the-pack" kind of athlete. They believe the hours they must put into their job and make available for their family takes up too much time to train, but they feel if they find the right balance, they could complete their first 70.3 next season. Their goal is to "complete", not to "compete".
I work with many Jamie's in both short distance and long distance triathlon events, and I ensure strength training is a vital component of their endurance training. I also work with individual endurance sport athletes - swimmers, cyclists, runners, and mountain climbers to name a few. My primary goal for every athlete I work with is to get them to race day/event week feeling healthy and confident. I believe I can do the same for you.
