There is no barrier to entry at Big Wheel Coaching. I enjoy working with athletes of all levels across all the cycling disciplines. With coaching, I am able to create sustainable and attainable training plans that meet each specific athlete where they are at. No two clients receive the same training plan, and each plan is catered to their needs, goals, availability and skill level.
I have worked successfully with mountain bike racers, road cyclists, cyclocross racers to reach their goals.
I have been coaching cyclists since 2010 when I transitioned from a career teaching Physical Education and began Big Wheel Coaching, Inc. I am now able to blend my teaching and coaching experience of 8 years in the classroom with my extensive racing career to create top-notch training plans for athletes of all levels.
I have worked with dozens of athletes across road, MTB, and Cyclocross where I have guided them to receive category upgrades, race wins, and personal successes along the way. With the structure and accountability generated through coaching, I am able to utilize the tools of TrainingPeaks as well as my extensive knowledge of training with power and heart rate to ensure my athletes are getting the most out of each of their training sessions and events. With appropriate pacing plans, pre and post race routines, nutrition guidance and mental preparedness, my clients have been able to reach new heights.

I work with athletes of all levels of experience and abilities. I encourage each to have a heart rate monitor and downloadable device such as a garmin. Use of a powermeter is helpful, but not required
