As a coach, it is my goal to help each of my Athletes test their limits and push those limits to the greatest heights possible. It is with this in mind that I look at each Athlete individually, assess their strengths, craft a strategy to address weaknesses, and am sure to thoroughly understand their motivation and goals.
I focus, equally on strength & proficiency in any training plan I create because having either of those components alone will not result in achieving an Athletes' potential.
The challenge and thrill of competition has always been a driving force in my life, whether it was being the first rider to the top of a hill as teenager on a BMX bike, or now, competing at a national level in the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour.
I believe that competition of all types, whether amongst our friends, on Strava, or at a race, always challenges us to achieve our best.
With that said, I do not work exclusively with racers, much to the contrary. I believe that every Athlete has unique and important goals, because I remember how intimidating it was to go out on my first group ride, sign-up for my first century ride, and compete in my first race.
I listen to my Athletes to learn about their goals, desires, and abilities, then help them develop the strength and ability to achieve their goals, and many times something more.
Having been an Athlete all my life and racing as a competitive road cyclist since 2005, I have raced and prepared for all types of events both on-road and off.
I have coached Athletes (and have experience) with each of the following disciplines: general fitness, time-trials, criteriums, road races, stage races, cyclocross, Endurance MTB and XC events, 24hr racing, gravel rides/races, and Gran Fondos.
