We’re here to help you be the best rider you can be, however large or small your goals we can help.
What we do is grounded in evidence-based sports science, the very best cycle coaching practices and a hefty dollop of experience just like yours. Starting with what your goals and abilities are we’ll arrive at a plan that fits in with your lifestyle.
Weekly plans, monthly plans, quarterly - whatever you need in as much detail as required, we can help you get the most from your riding.
I am a qualified Level 2 British Cycling Club Coach and a qualified member of the Association of British Cycling Coaches.
I am also a Level 3 personal trainer and Pilates / Pilates Reformer instructor.
I have been riding mountain bikes since 1989, racing them since 1994.
I started road racing in 1997, moved up to 2nd category then into the League of Veteran Racing Cyclists. These days I race MTB in winter, road in summer.
As a columnist and reviewer for What Mountain Bike I cornered the market in riding totally unsuitable mountain bikes in difficult circumstances; racing and testing bikes between £89 and £200.
I’ve cycled across Tibet, got lost on desert trails in Utah. Survived 15 years of London bike commuting. Ridden the Etape du Tour more times than I can remember - between 5 and 10. I do know that I got Gold on all but the first attempt. I rode the first Dragon Ride, when it rolled out from a shed in Bridgend.
My life revolves around cycling and coaching - earning a living from it, utilising it, teaching it, learning it. Training techniques and methodologies fascinate me. I'm always reading books, training manuals, e-books, blogs, web sites, exercise journals, watching DVDs about bike training. There's always more to know, new ways of doing things, trying it out on myself and then, armed with that experience, applying that to help you be the best rider you can be.
