Raced at an Elite level in the four disciplines of Road, Track, XC Mountain Biking and Cyclocross. Multiple National Championships in BMX, Road and Track. World Masters Title on the Track.
Coaching professionally since 1998. Coached 8 different USA Cycling, Under 23 Talent ID & Developmental Camps. Worked as Lead Endurance Coach for the USA Cycling Track Training Center in, Pennsylvania. Also directed National programs for Cycling South Africa.
Works with Collegiate, Elite and Masters riders.
On the road I represented my country 10 times, & captained the National Team on 6 different occassions. Highlights include winning the Bronze Medal at the All Africa Games, with selection for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
As a MTB racer, I have twice finished in the top 20 at the World Masters XC Mountain Bike Championships, & have successfully completed both The Grand Raid Cristalp & 2 Cape Epics.
I was a guest rider on the US National Super Cup, Cyclocross Series, for 2 years, with several top 30 finishes.
As a Track Racer I was a resident professional at the VPCC Velodrome in Trexlertown, USA for 10 seasons, with 3 National Titles and a World Masters Title in 2015.
I started coaching professionally in 1998. I have coached for both USA Cycling and Cycling South Africa.
In 2008 I worked as the Lead Endurance Coach for the USA Cycling Track Training Center East in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania, & between the years of 2010 & 2013, I served as the American Talent ID liaison for the UIV, in recruiting American U23 riders for the European Six Day Track Races.
As a coach I am adept at coaching all the disciplines of Road, Track, Cyclocross & XC Mountain Biking, from beginners to professionals. I use Power, Heart Rate and RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion) systems.
I have a mixed clientele that range from weekly fitness athletes to seasoned elite racers. Communication is the key to successful relationships, and is a two way street. I give realistic feedback and I am 100% honest.
