I am an accomplished triathlon coach and scientist with a unique set of credentials in biomedical research, clinical trials and endurance sports offering a distinct and systematic evidence-base coaching approach for human performance improvement.
Who am I?
I am Agustin Vega-Crespo, an USAT Level I, Training Peaks Level II and IRONMAN accredited triathlon coach with a combined 20+ years of experience in biomedical research, cell therapies, clinical trials and endurance sports.
I am Ecuadorian by birth, educated in Mexico and the United States where I earned various degrees in medical and molecular biochemistry, pharmacology and nutrition sciences. I am also author of over 30-indexed peer-review manuscripts and hold numerous patents over process and agents to edit and modify human genomes.
Throughout the years I have competed in olympic swimming trials representing Ecuador, gravity mountain bike and self-supported adventure racing, and for the past 15-years I have focussed particularly in long-distance and off-road triathlon achieving various podiums and world championship qualification slots alongside with the athletes I mentor.
Having dedicated years to understanding the human body and its capabilities, as a coach I bring a unique blend of cultural richness and scientific expertise to the world of endurance sports by combining cutting-edge scientific methodologies with a passion for triathlon coaching to help my athletes achieving their peak performance.
