I'm Jack Bennett, I am a Christ-follower, husband, father, veteran, fitness enthusiast, and dog lover, and my purpose is to help others realize that they can do much more than what they realize. WHY? To know thyself and liberate yourself from the shackles of mediocrity.
I’m Jack, I retired from the active-duty Army in 2017. The Army provided me with a moral azimuth, value system, and a creed by which to live by 24/7. For me, Soldering was a lifestyle and it dominated all facets of my adult life. I have discovered that aside from being a Christ-follower, husband, and father, my purpose is to help others realize that they can do much more than what they know. Our environment is staged to deceive us to limit our growth by levying restrictions on our true abilities. Upon retirement, I was advised by mediocre leadership that having a marathon goal was unrealistic due to chronic injuries sustained in the Army. After reading autobiographies of ultrarunners who’ve sustained catastrophic injuries but continued to train for and successfully complete ultramarathons, I’ve decided that I can do the same and no one can stop me.
The real reason WHY I do this, is “To know myself, to liberate myself from the shackles of mediocrity, comfort, and the limitations imposed by others. When my body fails how far will my mind take me? I must know this to become a better man.” There’s a smart way to conduct all of this, it takes consistency and patience. My Orthodox Christian faith plays a large role in what I am trying to achieve for myself and for others. In a nutshell, I want to be a better man, and I want to help others become better, we’re all in this together, it is reciprocal, and we can all learn from each other, we are on this journey to excellence together.
