Physician turned Endurance athlete and Coach.
Coach Anne Linton’s experiences as a physician and athlete give her a unique ability to understand athletes as whole individuals, including mental and physical aspects. She has worked in various medical settings over her 20-year career as a physician, ranging from Emergency Medicine and Orthopedics, to Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Athletically, she has participated in wide variety of endurance events including running, triathlon, road racing, mountain biking (endurance, cross country and short track) and cyclocross.
Having returned to racing at an older age, Anne understands the perspective of the masters level athlete. Having lived through multiple knee surgeries and rehabilitations, Anne knows the ins and outs of returning to training and then to a higher level of fitness after an injury, and also many tricks to help athletes avoid injuries in the first place.
Anne works with clients of all levels, from first-time triathletes, to those seeking personal records in triathlon as well as qualifying and competing in the Ironman World Championships. On the bike on road and dirt, she’s coached multiple state and series champions, Leadville Trail 100 and endurance mountain bike event finishers and PR setters. She has guided several riders to National Championship medals, including one blind paracycling athlete. She has coached her 80 year-old mother to her 5th 1/2 marathon finish. She volunteers her time guiding cyclists on long distance multi day endurance events.
