Running isn't a hobby for me, it's a way of life. I've been running for over 17 years, with my heart in trail running and ultra trails in the 50K category. I coach ambitious runners who want to train in a structured, purposeful way on road or trail, from 5K to ultra. My approach is data-driven but human: no generic templates, just training that fits who you are and what you want to achieve. I know how to train smart around a busy life, without sacrificing performance or enjoyment.

I'm Alexander, a trail runner through and through and the founder of ALX Running. My passion lies in the mountains, ultra trails in the 50K category and everything that leads up to them. This year I finished the Ultra Trail Snowdonia, and I'm currently training for the Jungfrau Marathon. Alongside trails, I regularly race on the road, from 15K to the marathon distance.

My background goes beyond enthusiasm. I studied Sport and Movement Education at the Fontys School of Sport Studies, building a solid foundation in physiology, training theory and sport science. I keep that knowledge current by continuously reading up on training, progression and recovery. In daily life I work as a Product Owner in IT, and that combination of structure, data and understanding people is something I bring into my coaching.

I coach runners who want to train with purpose on road or trail, from 5K to ultra. My approach is data-driven but human: no generic templates, just training that fits your goals, your level and your life. You'll get a schedule in TrainingPeaks, weekly feedback and room to spar, so you make structured progress without losing the fun of it.
