I’m an applied sport scientist, coach, and kinesiology professor who began coaching online in 2016 with Renaissance Periodization. I work with endurance and strength athletes using tools like critical speed/power, training stress, and reps-in-reserve to guide decisions without losing context. Programming is simple, purposeful, and realistic, with a strong emphasis on recovery, fueling, sleep, and long-term consistency over hype.
I’m an applied sport scientist, coach, and professor of kinesiology. Coaching isn’t something I do on the side—it’s what I study, teach, and practice daily.
I began coaching online in 2016 with Renaissance Periodization, where I developed a foundation in evidence-based programming, long-term athlete development, and clear communication in a remote setting. That experience still shapes how I coach today: simple structure, purposeful sessions, and decisions grounded in physiology rather than trends.
My background spans both endurance and strength-based sports. I work primarily with endurance, trail, gravel, and hybrid athletes, using tools such as critical speed/critical power modeling, training stress tracking, and reps-in-reserve to guide programming without losing context. Data informs decisions, but it never replaces the athlete.
Training plans are intentionally straightforward and precise. Every session has a clear purpose, weekly structure is logical, and progressions are realistic. I avoid unnecessary complexity and don’t chase fatigue as a marker of effectiveness.
A major emphasis of my coaching is athlete behavior. Sleep, fueling, stress management, and day-to-day decision making strongly influence adaptation and long-term performance. You don’t need perfection—you need consistency. My goal is to help athletes train hard when it matters, recover effectively, and stay healthy and engaged over months and years.
