Alissa’s passion is helping athletes set specific, measurable goals, and providing precise coaching towards achieving those goals. She analyzes workout data and notes (heart rate, power, pace, mental state, emotional state, health) and frequently measures progress through benchmark workouts so that she can craft and adjust workouts for maximum effect. She has helped athletes achieve their goals in distances from sprint to Ironman. Alissa will get you to the start line with a clear race strategy, completely prepared physically and mentally to race your best race.
Alissa has a passion to help athletes improve their quality of movement in order to avoid injury and improve efficiency. During the off season she helps athletes work on corrective exercises and strength exercises to prepare them for long training hours and minimize the risk of overuse injuries, as well as to achieve “free speed” through improved efficiency. She offers Functional Movement Screens.
Alissa has been involved in triathlon since 2007 and has competed in distances from Sprint to Half Ironman. Some of her athletes’ accomplishments include overall podium placement and age-group podium placement, 1+ hour PRs in Ironman, Half Iron and olympic distances, top 10% age group placement at an Ironman, Boston Marathon Qualification and Worlds 70.3 qualification. Alissa is a USA Triathlon Level I Coach. Other certifications: AFAA Certified Personal Trainer, SFG Level 1 Kettlebell Intructor, FMS Level 2.
