I am a USAT Level II Endurance and IRONMAN® Certified Triathlon Coach and an avid triathlete based out of Boulder, Colorado. I specialize in working with athletes new to long-course (IRONMAN® 70.3 and IRONMAN®) racing, as well as athletes with atypical or unusually time-constrained schedules. I excel at educating my athletes and giving them confidence in their training - especially important for first-timers! - as well as in maximizing the efficiency of my athletes' training hours.
My biggest goal as a coach is to set you up for success! I want to make sure that your training fits into your pre-existing life and provides the balance that you need in order to juggle all of your commitments and interests.
My approach to training is focused on educating you as an athlete so that you have the tools to succeed both in training and on race day. I am very data-driven in how I analyze your workouts, but also rely heavily on your workout comments to understand the bigger picture of any day's training. By providing structured training, making sure you understand the "why" of the training approach, and using qualitative and quantitative feedback to assess your workout execution, I ensure that you toe the start line with your best chance for success on race day.
Additionally, I greatly value the personal relationship that goes hand in hand with coaching. The better I know you as a person, the better I can ensure that training is an enjoyable part of your life. Because if it's not fun, it's not worth doing!
I've personally completed 14 IRONMAN® 70.3 and 4 IRONMAN® races, and have coached athletes to over 50 IRONMAN® 70.3 and over 20 IRONMAN® finishes. Of those finishes, many have been first-time IRONMAN® 70.3 and IRONMAN® finishers as well as athletes who earned redemption after a prior DNF. If you're looking for your next finish line, I can help get you there!
1-on-1 Coaching, Consultations, Remote Coaching
My only requirement is that you, as the athlete, will communicate with me regarding your workouts and other relevant life info. An athlete-coach relationship is nothing without good communication!
