AJ Baucco - Triathlon Coach and Former Professional Triathlete
In 2013, AJ founded AJ Baucco Coaching, which has since coached over 500 athletes. His coaching staff is comprised of over 15 coaches including former triathlon superstar, Cam Dye, as well as current professionals Lesley Smith and Nathan Killam.
After spending many years as a student of the sport of Triathlon, it become apparent that AJ thoroughly enjoyed sharing his wealth of knowledge with others. AJ was incredibly lucky to learn from some of the best athletes and coaches in the sport. His knowledge, coupled with an innate desire to teach others, made coaching the perfect fit for him. Coaching mixed two of his strongest passions, education and triathlon. Even before he was introduced to triathlon, he possessed the urge to guide others through education. He received his degree in Mathematics and his teaching license from the State of Ohio. Upon graduating, he decided to put his career as an educator on hold and pursue his career as a professional in the sport of triathlon. He spent the first 2 years of his professional career focusing on himself and his own progression, but it became clear that he wasn't happy without teaching in his life. Because going back to work in the classroom while carrying on as a professional athlete didn't seem reasonable, he decided to pursue education in a different way. Coaching triathlon, along with doing camps and small clinics, allowed him to satisfy his urge to teach while he still focused on my own sporting career. AJ is now retired from professional racing and has moved on to full time coaching. He owns AJ Baucco Coaching which employs more than 15 other world class coaches and has over 150 active 1-on-1 clients.
