I am an experienced triathlete with 7 years of racing and 2 years of Level 1 coaching under my belt. My primary distance is olympic, but have raced all up to 140.6. I am currently training for ITU world finale for Age Group Worlds representing Team USA in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
If it's not fun nor rewarding, why do it? Triathlon should be a hobby that adds fun and excitement to your life, not the dread of suffering through a workout that you do not want to accomplish. My coaching is meant to fit into your life with the realization that LIFE comes first. That being said, athletes need to be realistic about what they can manage for training per the distance they choose.
I have carried my USAT Level 1 certificate for 2 years. I have successfully coached the Columbus Team in Training through 2 summers of racing with all athletes completing their goals. I wish I could say it was because of me, but it was their drive and determination that led them to meet their goals. I provided the road map--they got themselves there!
Must have a good attitude and are willing to learn.
