Jason has been participating in triathlons since 2012. He initially engaged in occasional 5K races on holidays, without focusing on healthy eating or consistent training, which led to weight gain and a lack of energy. Determined to improve his health and set a new goal, Jason aimed to complete a half distance Ironman (70.3). However, after meeting with a local triathlon coach, he was encouraged to sign up for a full distance Ironman (140.6) and train for 12 months. During that year, he lost 50 pounds and regained his vitality. In November 2013, Jason completed his first full distance Ironman at Ironman Arizona and became hooked. He then set a new goal to compete in the pinnacle Ironman race in Kona, Hawaii. Since 2013, Jason has completed 14 full Ironman distance races, 13 half Ironman distance races, and numerous 5K, 10K, and Sprint Tri races. After ten years, Jason has now qualified for and will compete in the 2024 World Championship Ironman in Kona, Hawaii. Jason is married to Andrea (22 years) and has two teenage boys. Despite working full-time, he continues to find time to train and compete and is eager to help others achieve their long-distance triathlon goals.
