Dear TP - any chance of an iphone app? I find the mobile site clunky and infelxible. The UX on site is first rate, on mobile less so and like many people, I am living more and more of my digital life on the go. Here's hoping!

I'd like to see an iPhone app similar to imapmyride so you could record and upload a workout from the phone. As much as I appreciate being able to use my powertap > wko+ > trainingpeaks, the simplicity of just finishing a workout and uploading is appealing for rides where I'm not using the powermeter. I know there is a 3rd party app that uploads to TP but it requires another piece of hardware which seems to defeat the purpose. I use the mobile site occasionally, but only as a last resort. Now that I have an ipad though I may have to use it more since the new site doesn't work there.

I agree.. except I want the app for the droid. I'm currently a "free" member... as soon as I can at least import my rides from my phone to training peaks, I'll gladly go Premium!!

FYI, Distance Meter Pro is an iPhone app and does not require extra hardware. You can directly upload after your workout to your account. Read our new employee bios... we're working on a lot of cool stuff to come: http://blog.trainingpeak...-trainingpeaks-team.html

Go look at LeanMe Pro http://www.leanme.net/ for a nice interface for recording data off-line. This app has a great user interface and works without the need of internet access (off-line) which would be helpful for those eating & doing workouts out of local net access. Ever thought of teaming up with a current app developer? To integrate off line data entry?

Hi guys, An app is coming, so just hang on for a bit, but in the meantime, there are some great existing apps that can upload directly to TrainingPeaks: # Sprint GPS http://itunes.apple.com/...intgps/id373308989?mt=8 (This is their running app. They also have cycling and walking) # EZ-Run http://itunes.apple.com/...ez-run/id388838686?mt=8 # Digifit http://itunes.apple.com/...runner/id304074554?mt=8 # Run Tracker Pro http://itunes.apple.com/...intgps/id373308989?mt=8 # Distance Meter http://itunes.apple.com/...er-pro/id286133117?mt=8 # iMobileIntervals (mainly cycling related) http://itunes.apple.com/...ervals/id349553676?mt=8 Some of these are really phenomenal (and/or free), so check them out as we finish up things with our app. Thanks so much! :)

I'm all about full featured iPhone apps. The feature I'd likely use the most is support for adding metric (weight, blood pressure and heart rate) and nutrition. These are activities I typical do away from my computer. Since I'm never far from my iPhone, I can put them into TP in real time. As a result, I'm much more likely to actually get the data in. I use MyFitnessPal right now to track my caloric intake, primarily because it's easy from my iPhone. I'd LOVE to be able to get that straight into TP from an ap. Thanks! Take care, Jeff

Here's the link to the App! http://itunes.apple.com/...peaks/id408047715?mt=8# Thanks so much for your patience while we got it together. Coaches - there's a version coming for you all soon. We're working as quickly as possible to get an App ready for those of you who have non-Apple devices. We'll definitely let you know as soon as they're ready. Stay tuned! can you set up so the Lose It! App could link to the Training Peaks App? Lose it! is much better than the Trainings Peaks nutrition app.

Thanks for the feedback William! We're definitely looking at different Apps to integrate with and welcome other App developers to contact us if they'd like to work with us (like we've done with Fisica, Digifit, etc.) and we're certainly looking into expanding our own offering. This is just Version 1 of the App, so be patient with us as we continue to improve and refine it, just like we've done with TP software over the years :) Thanks again!

It would be great to be able to see you ATP and see the Virtual Coach options for workouts. Definitely need to bolster the options for paid subscribers.

The iPhone app does not work. I have installed and deleted it 3 times on my iPhone already. It works perfectly the first time on installation, thereafter, the only buttons still working is the Calendar (whereby you can select it, but no calendar displays), and the other button is Settings (whereby when selecting, there are buttons for 'logout', 'reload' and 'show/hide log') and none of the buttons work. As one of the previous messages regarding 'Distance Meter', I always have consistent errors when trying to upload a cycle workout to my Training Peaks account, and have no problems at all when uploading to MapMyFitness account. Your assistance in resolving this would be greatly appreciated as I see some really terrific benefits from using this platform during the course of the day, as i do not always have the cable for my Timex Ironman Global Trainer with me. :(

I have EXACTLY the same problem, except that mine never worked properly, even the first time, on either iPhone or iPad. Can it be something to do with being outside the US? - can't see why. Of course, I should have emailed support, but never got round to it (sorry).

Hey everyone, I feel like I've talked to some of you via facebook or twitter, but I wanted to post the solutions here, just in case. Our developers are working diligently to make this application function both smoothly and accurately so that you can access your training, nutrition and metric information from the convenience of your iPhone. Our TrainingPeaks iPhone App is a web application in a native iPhone App shell, which means that everytime you open the App on your phone, it must use either a WiFi signal or a 3G connection to gather web information and data from our servers. This process is usually pretty quick, but there are a few things you should know: 1. The first time you log into the App on your phone will take a bit longer as it gathers all of the website information + your historical data; please be patient with this and don't interrupt the process by navigating away from the current screen. 2. After the first login, the next logins should be much quicker, but know that the App will still need to gather updated website information and real time user data (Again, please patient and let the App load fully to get the best results). 3. If you're still seeing some incomplete pages on your TrainingPeaks iPhone App, go to the 'Settings' button at the bottom of the App and then click 'Reload'. IMPORTANT: Allow the App to fully reload before navigating away from that screen. Our developers are working on an update to resolve any lingering issues. When this update becomes available, you will see a yellow '1' next to your TrainingPeaks App shortcut which you can click to install the update. ---->The gist of this is that it takes time for the App to download all the information that it gives you. Please be patient and let the pages fully load :) We'll keep you posted on updates. Thanks so much for your patience and we're excited to keep refining the App and making it better! Thanks guys!

It mysteriously started working for me, on both iPhone and iPad. Seems a nice app. I expect metrics will be added in due course.

Hi Chris, Thanks so much for the kind words. I'm sorry about the trouble. We just added Metrics last week, so if you download the update of the App, it should appear on your homescreen.

With 'Meals' it doesn't seem possible to search or browse for meals that I have previously created? Is this correct? Being able to reuse existing meals making only minor changes to gram quantities is a very convenient way of tracking food intake.

I've discovered a possible bug in the iPhone app (which is great by the way). If I just put in my weight for the metrics, it the sliders to "0", or "poor", even though I did not touch them. I notice this when I go into Training Peaks on my regular computer. If I delete the metrics and add only weight on my computer, this error does not occur. Only happens on the iPhone.

I feel like a right dunce. My friend pointed out the new app, but I cannot find it on the itunes store or on the app program on my ipad. I am searching "traininigpeaks". If I follow the link from the training peaks itunes tells me the page in unavailable. Sorry if I am missing something so obvious.

I've also noticed that the Training Peaks app has disappeared from the app store. I installed it on my iPad a few weeks ago but when I went to install it on my iPhone the other day I noticed that it was no longer in the app store. Perhaps someone from TP could shed some light on what is going on with it.

I tried on a different computer and itunes tells me that it is not available in the Canadian store. Not sure where you are located. Anyway, it must be some kind of payback for Canada kicking the US's butt in the 2010 Olympics.

I got a message about a week ago from Training Peaks saying that the iPhone app was temporarily being taken out of the app store to fix an issue with the latest release. They said it should be back soon.

It would also be nice if the app could be made available to work off line and be able to sync back to the server when connections is available.
