On comeback trail after accident February 2007. Front tyre blowout going downhill on tribars while reaching for waterbottle with right hand. Spiral fracture(x3) left femur and facture(x2) left clavicle and ulna neuropathy left arm and brachail plexus neuropathy right shoulder. Metal plates and screws removed March 2008 left femur and left clavicle. Swimming and cycling going well. Running is very hard after over a year of no running. Note: August 2008 up to 24km long run in 2 hours! Photo is while winning Wriggleswade Xterra in pouring rain 3 months prior to accident. Have entered Ironman South Africa 2009. Hope to get back to where I was!
