The following training plans are available:
- Luray Triathlon Training Plan: Beginner (20-24 weeks)
Plan Description
Designed for the beginner level athlete with 0 to 1 year of triathlon racing experience, this twenty to twenty-four (20-24) week Luray Triathlon Beginner Training Plan provides the athlete with a structured and periodized plan in order to build endurance and speed in order to peak for the Luray International, Luray Sprint or any other International / International Distance race. The athlete be able to complete the following workouts at plan beginning: - Swim: 400 meters or yards continuously - Bike: 10 miles continuously - Run: 3 miles continuously Athletes should also have a recent check up from the doctor and have been given the OK to participate in triathlon training.

- Luray Triathlon Training Plan: Intermediate (20-24 weeks)
Plan Description
Designed for the intermediate level athlete with 1-2 years of triathlon racing experience, this twenty to twenty-four (20-24) week Luray Triathlon Intermediate Training Plan provides the athlete with a structured and periodized plan in order to build endurance and speed in order to peak for the Luray International Triathlon, Luray Sprint Triathlon or any other International / Sprint distance. Athletes should have completed 1- 2 years of triathlon experience (1 - 4 Sprint or International distance events) prior to beginning this plan and be able to complete the following workouts at plan beginning: - Swim: 500 meters or yards continuously - Bike: 20 miles continuously - Run: 5 miles continuously Athletes should also have a recent check up from the doctor and have been given the OK to participate in triathlon training.

Plan Description
Designed for the advanced level athlete with 2+ years of triathlon racing experience, this twenty to twenty-four (20-24) week Luray Triathlon Advanced Training Plan provides the athlete with a structured and periodized plan in order to build endurance and speed in order to peak for the Luray International Triathlon, Luray Sprint Triathlon or any other International / Sprint distance. Athletes should have completed at least 2 years of triathlon experience (4+ Sprint or International distance events) prior to beginning this plan and be able to complete the following workouts at plan beginning: - Swim: 500 meters or yards continuously - Bike: 25 miles or 40 Km continuously - Run: 6.2 miles or 10 Km continuously Athletes should also have a recent check up from the doctor and have been given the OK to participate in triathlon training.
