In November 1999, I weighed 250 lbs plus. I decided to run 10 minutes a day. That became 20 minutes. Then 30 minutes. Then it was summer and I brought out the bike. In August 2001, I did my first triathlon at 155 lbs. In October 2001 I did my first marathon. In November 2002, I did my first Ironman in Florida. In 2003, I did Ironman Wisconsin. No Ironmans planned for this year... but maybe in 2015. OH.... I weigh 177 now.
