Configuring Garmin Training Center for use with Training Plans

Please note, only the Running plans are compatible. THey are ONLY compatible with the Forerunner 301 at this time. 1. Garmin Training Center Application Start the Training Center application and click "User -> Profile For.." 2. Pace Zone Index (PZI) Chart Find your Zones using the PZI Chart located here (http://www.trainingpeaks.com/garmin/pace.asp). To use this chart, locate your current time to complete a 3k or 5k or 10k event. The row with your time for this event then has your 10 pace training zones as shown. EXAMPLE: Using a 5k time of 31:00 gives me a Pace Zone Index (PZI) of 48. To the right are the reanges for each of my 10 pace zones. 3. Setting your zones in Training Center according to your PZI Enter each pace zone in the Training Center User Profile dialog box as shown. Note that if you make changes to your plan online within your TrainingPeaks Calendar, the changes will not be reflected when moving the plan to your Forerunner. You can only move the plan to your Forerunner for the dates that you select. THe plan will match the dates that you choose to start or end it, but any changes will not be reflected on the 301 itself.
